The Punjab Bikes Scheme 2024 announced the list of selected candidates after the voting. Students who are interested can now visit the listings to confirm their status. With 72,640 applications received, the overwhelmingly high response suggests a significant market need for mobility solutions. 19,000 motorcycles powered by gasoline and 1,000 motorcycles powered by electricity will be distributed via voting out of this.
Most importantly, the programme guarantees diversity by allocating a specific quota for female students. 11,676 of the gasoline-powered bikes allotted to pupils are for male students, while 7,324 are for female students.
In the same way, 300 electric motorcycles will go to female students and 700 to male students. This program, which is a component of the Punjab government’s Education Friendly Initiative, demonstrates the latter’s dedication to giving students more mobility alternatives.
