New Passport Fees in Pakistan 2024: Starting May 8, the government of Pakistan has stated that fees for fast passport services will go up. A new notice says that a 36-page Machine Readable (MR) passport that is good for five years will now cost Rs. 12,000. Also, the price of a 72-page passport with the same length of validity has gone up to Rs. 18,500, and the price of a 100-page passport has gone up to Rs. 23,000. The fees for 36-page, 72-page, and 100-page Machine Readable (MR) passports that are good for 10 years have also been changed to match the new fee structure.
There were reports of a backlog in passport handling, so the federal government of Pakistan raised the fees for fast-track passports by a large amount. From May 8, these fee hikes will be in place for both 5-year and 10-year passports. As stated in a notice from the Directorate General of Immigration and Passports.
